ZonMW has granted 277KEuro subsidy for the demonstrator of smart wound healing support.
UMC Utrecht is leading this project that was developed by the Fieldlab 3DMedical (Utrecht Science Park) with partners University of Applied Sciences (Micro System Technology) and UMC Utrecht. ZGT (Ziekenhuisgroep Twente) and business partners are involved as well. The demonstrator will be ready in August 2023

Researchers of the Lectorate 'Micro Systems Technology' of Utrecht University of Applied Sciences have receives a RAAK subsidy grant for research on smart Scoliose bracing and smart drilling technology in Orthopedic surgery. These projects fit the research themes Smart Patiënt and Smart Surgeon of the Fieldlab 3DMedical. These research projects are being realized in cooperation with business partners hat are active in these specific parts of the Medtech market.
28 December 2019: FieldLab 3DMedical on TV about patient-specific surgery
On 28 December at 4 p.m the RTL Z program 'De Barometer' (in Dutch) will focus on the Fieldlab 3DMedical. Koen Willemsen, Ralph Sakkers and Joel Kortes of the 3DFacelab (in Dutch) of the University Medical Center Utrecht and lecturer Microsystem Technology and Professor Microsystemtechnology Erik Puik of HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht show what is happening in the clinic and why it is essential to use the system approach (Systems Engineering) when developing 3DMedical applications for patient-specific solutions in the operating room.
