In the InnovationLab Life Sciences & Chemistry, HU-students are trying to convert bacteria into sustainable kerosene for aircraft for start-up Microfuels. Students of HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht are making a substantial contribution to making air traffic more sustainable. Together with the company Microfuel Innovations they are working on bio kerosene. This is made from the fat that can be extracted from a certain type of soil bacteria.
